The internal dispute for the leadership of the Liberal Social Party (PSL) between those who support Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro and those who side with Party head Luciano Bivar has reached new levels of tension, and is specially related to the 2020 municipal elections. There is a high chance that Bolsonaro himself might leave the party.

Some parliamentarians wishing to follow the president are studying the creation of a new party window so that they can also leave the party him without losing their mandate. If the brazilian Congress approves the creation of a new party window still in 2019 this question will be resolved as "Yes".
