Will China launch its third aircraft carrier by March 1st, 2022?

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy has been developing an aircraft carrier program for years, as part of the big expansion of the Chinese fleet.

As of April of 2020, there were already two commissioned aircraft carriers, with more projects under construction in shipyards. The Type 003 aircraft carrier, for example, was expected to be launched still in 2020. In November of 2021, the Center for Strategic and International Studies analyzed, from satellite images, that the vehicle might be finished and launched between February and May of 2022.

If by March 1st, 2022, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy does launch its third aircraft carrier, this question will be resolved as "Yes". For that, is only necessary that the ship is put into water, without the need for it to be commissioned.
