Spain to recognize a new independence referendum in Catalonia as legal by the end of 2025?

Market Rules

The local government of Catalonia has promoted popular consultations on their separatism from Spain both in June 2017 and in 2014. Still, until today the independentist urges of that region have been institutionally restricted by Spain's central government.

If by December 31, 2025, Spain recognizes the legality of a new referendum concerning the Catalonian separation from the country, this market will resolve to "Yes". It is necessary for such resolution that the referendum is authorized by the Spanish Judiciary.
