How many times will Fed increase the reference interest rate in 2022?
Market Rules
The United States Federal Reserve’s (Fed) Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) announced in March the first referential interest rate hike since 2018. Apart from that, Fed’s president, Jerome Powell, stated that additional hikes in a near future might be necessary to control inflationary pressure.
The winning outcome in this market will be the one matching the total number of FOMC meetings in which FOMC announces a raise in the target for the US annual referential interest rate in 2022. The meeting of March 2022 already counts as 1 valid meeting in this criteria.
