Will there be elections in Myanmar in 2023?
Market Rules
In early February the military in Myanmar communicated through a statement on the government channel MRTV that all authority had been given to the army commander, Min Aung Hlaing, and declared a state of emergency for one year in the country. Additionally, the country's elected leader at the time, Win Myint, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi were both arrested.
If the government of Myanmar holds general elections in the country at any point in 2023, this market will resolve to "Yes".
