Winning party of Australia’s election

Market Rules

This market aims to predict the political party that will win the largest number of individual seats in the Australian House of Representatives as a result of the federal election scheduled for May 3, 2025. For this market, it is irrelevant whether or not the winning political party forms a government, enters into a coalition, or wins an outright majority.

The market will resolve in favor of the outcome that correctly matches the party with the highest seat count once the official results are confirmed by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). If two or more parties win the same number of seats, the market will be resolved as "There will be a tie". If an independent or minor party that is not included in the market's predefined options ends up winning the largest number of seats, the market will resolve as "Other".

Verification will rely on official seat tallies published by the AEC. Secondary confirmation may come from reputable media outlets reporting on the final seat distribution. The market will not be affected by post-election negotiations, coalition agreements, or changes in party affiliation after the election results are declared.
