NYSE circuit breaker in 2025?
Market Rules
This market aims to predict whether at least one market-wide circuit breaker will be triggered in 2025 in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
A market-wide circuit breaker in the NYSE is here defined as a temporary cross-market transaction halt that can be triggered at three circuit breaker thresholds measured by a decrease against the prior day’s Closing Price of the S&P 500 Index: 7% (Level 1), 13% (Level 2), and 20% (Level 3).
Market interruptions triggered by reasons unrelated to price drops, such as regulatory halts, halts due to hacking attempts, or other technical reasons, will not be considered circuit breakers for the sake of this market.
If the NYSE significantly changes its circuit breaker rules during 2025, Futuur will use its discretion to determine if a triggering event constitutes a "Yes" resolution.
