Michigan Governor election winner

Market Rules

This event concerns which political party will win the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state of Michigan, scheduled for November 3, 2026.

The market corresponding to the party of the candidate officially elected Governor of Michigan will resolve to "Yes". A candidate will be considered affiliated with a political party based on the official party designation under which they appear on the ballot.

If no candidate wins a majority in the election, this event will resolve based on the official winner according to the electoral plurality rule mandated by Michigan law.

The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be the official certified election results published by the State of Michigan (e.g., the Arizona Secretary of State). If official certification is delayed or unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will be a clear and overwhelming consensus of major reputable news organizations reporting the same winner based on official data. Resolution will be based on the officially certified winner, not projections, concession speeches, or media calls. If a fair determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel the event with a public explanation.
