Will it be confirmed that genetic editing made Chinese babies resistant to HIV infection by 2022?

Market Rules

In November 2018, Chinese scientist He Jiankui first announced the existence of pair of twins who had been genetically engineered by him (using the CRISPR technique) to be immune to HIV infection. Later on, in 2019, Chinese news agency Xinhua officially confirmed that a third baby with edited genes had been born in the same situation.

Although He Jiankui was sentenced to three years in prison on charges of illegally editing genes for human embryos intended for reproduction, it has not yet been confirmed whether the three allegedly edited babies are in fact immune to the disease or not.

If by the end of 2022 it is confirmed by the scientific community that the genetic editing of any of these three allegedly edited Chinese babies made them resistant to HIV infection, this question would be resolved as "yes".
