French budget approved by December 21?
Market Rules
This market aims to predict whether the French budget for the upcoming fiscal year will be officially approved by the National Assembly of France or enacted by any constitutional means, such as through Article 49.3 of the French Constitution, by the end of the day on December 21, 2024. If no budget is approved or enacted through any legal mechanism by the specified deadline, the market will resolve to "No."
Verification will rely on official announcements from the French government or National Assembly, as well as reports from reputable news outlets. For this market, “approval” includes formal legislative adoption by the National Assembly or enactment by the government via constitutional powers, regardless of whether a new Prime Minister is appointed or not before the budget's approval.
If the President of France fails to appoint a new Prime Minister or if the political situation delays the budget’s passage past the December 21 deadline, the market will resolve as "No." Temporary or interim measures to fund government operations that do not constitute full budget approval will not satisfy the criteria for resolution as "Yes."
