Brazil's Federal Representative Chiquinho Brazão, audit court councilor Domingos Brazão, and police chief Rivaldo Barbosa were subjected to a preventive arrest on March 24th, 2024, in the scope of Operation Murder Inc., conducted by Brazil's Republic's Attorney General, the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro, and Brazil's Federal Police. They were all accused of being the masterminds behind the planning of the murder of Rio de Janeiro's city councilor Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson Gomes in 2018.

If any of the individuals accused of being the masterminds behind the murder of city councilor Marielle Franco and her driver Anderson Gomes gets convicted for that crime by December 31st, 2026, this market will resolve to "Yes", regardless of the specific penalty imposed in the case.
