Will Michelle Bolsonaro run for vice president of Brazil in 2026?

Market Rules

This market will resolve as "Yes" if Michelle Bolsonaro is formally confirmed by any party as a vice-presidential candidate on any presidential ticket for Brazil's 2026 national elections, and her candidature is accepted and validated by Brazil's electoral courts.

The market will resolve to "Yes" if the following conditions are met:/p>

  1. Michelle Bolsonaro must be officially registered with Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE) as a vice-presidential candidate on any presidential ticket for the 2026 elections;
  2. The registration must occur during the official candidate registration period established by the TSE for the 2026 elections;
  3. The registration must be accepted and validated by the TSE, making her an official candidate.

Merely announcing intentions or being informally nominated does not qualify for a "Yes" resolution.

If Michelle Bolsonaro candidature is initially registered and validated, but she withdraws her candidacy before the election, the market still resolves as "YES".

If Michelle Bolsonaro is accepted as a vice-presidential candidate but the entire presidential ticket is later disqualified, the market will still resolve to "Yes", as long as their initial registration was valid.

If Michelle Bolsonaro registers as a vice-presidential candidate but electoral authorities later determine she was ineligible, the market will resolve to no, as she did not get to be validated by Brazil's electoral courts.

If the 2026 elections are postponed or cancelled for any reason, but Michelle Bolsonaro was registered and validated as a vice-presidential candidate for what was intended to be the 2026 cycle, the market resolves to "Yes".

It is irrelevant which political party or coalition nominates her, or which presidential candidate she is paired with.

This market will be resolved based on official records from Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE), confirmed reporting from credible Brazilian news outlets, or other verifiable documentation of candidate registrations for the 2026 elections.
