Will a new legislative election be called in France in 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether France will officially call a new legislative election at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be an official decree or announcement by the French government or presidency calling new legislative elections.
If France officially issues a decree or announcement calling new legislative elections during this period, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Speculation, political debate, or non-binding statements will not count. If official decrees are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major French or international news organizations. Resolution will reflect the substantive act of calling elections, not discussions or intent. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
