NYSE circuit breaker in 2026?

Market Rules

This event predicts whether at least one market-wide circuit breaker will be triggered on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official NYSE or U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) notices confirming a circuit breaker halt.

If the NYSE triggers a market-wide circuit breaker during this period, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Security-specific trading halts that are not market-wide circuit breakers will not count. If official notices are unclear, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major financial news organizations. Resolution will reflect the substantive triggering of a market-wide circuit breaker, not isolated halts. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
