Mauro Cid sentenced to prison in 2025?

Market Rules

Mauro Cid, the former assistant to Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro, was arrested preemptively in May of 2023 concerning a vaccination card fraud scheme. Cid is subject to multiple crime inquiries, of which eight are held by the Federal Supreme Court.

If, as the result of any of the crime inquiries targeting him, Mauro Cid gets convicted and receives a sentence that requires incarceration by December 31st, 2025, this market will resolve to “Yes”. For the sake of this market's resolution, preventive detention will not be considered as a sentence involving incarceration.

A sentence that is immediately appealed will still be considered valid for a 'Yes' resolution.
