Will Florida change its congressional voting map for the 2026 elections?

This market resolves based on whether the State of Florida officially enacts and uses a new congressional district map for its U.S. House elections scheduled in 2026. The Market Period extends through the point when Florida’s candidate qualifying and ballot certification processes determine the operative congressional districts for the 2026 elections. Primary Designated Source (PDS): official State of Florida materials confirming the congressional districts in effect for 2026, including publications by the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections, enacted legislation on the Florida Legislature website, and official releases from the Florida Governor’s Office.

If Florida adopts and uses a redrawn congressional map (whether by legislative action, court order, or another duly authorized mechanism) that is in effect for the 2026 elections, this market will resolve to “Yes”. If Florida continues to use the same congressional map as in the 2024 elections with no changes to district boundaries for the 2026 elections, this market will resolve to “No”. Exclusions: minor administrative clarifications (e.g., district renumbering, typographical fixes, or cartographic updates that do not substantively alter boundaries) do not count as changes. First-truth: the market may resolve immediately once the PDS confirms the applicable congressional map for 2026.

Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM): If state PDS materials are unavailable or contradictory, Futuur may rely on (a) controlling U.S. federal or Florida court orders, and (b) reporting from reputable news organizations chosen at Futuur’s discretion. Resolution will follow the substantive outcome and market intent, not minor technicalities or publishing delays. If no fair determination is possible after reasonable efforts, Futuur may void the market.
