Conor McGregor nominated to run for President of Ireland in 2025?
Market Rules
This market aims to predict whether mixed martial artist Conor McGregor will be nominated to run for President of Ireland in 2025’s election. To secure a formal nomination, McGregor must either obtain at least 20 members of the Oireachtas (deputies to the Dáil or Senators), or the support of at least four local authorities (city or county councils) and have it validated by the final day of the nomination period, as defined by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage (still to be announced). The nomination must be officially delivered to the Presidential Returning Officer for the market to resolve as “Yes”.
If Conor McGregor publicly states that he gave up on running for President of Ireland in the 2025 election before the nomination end date, this market will be resolved as “No”.
The Presidential Returning Officer’s official registers will be considered as the primary source to resolve this market. However, credible news outlets may also be used to resolve this market.
