Will Ether outperform Bitcoin in August?

Market Rules

This market predicts whether Ether (ETH) has a higher percentage price gain than Bitcoin (BTC) during the month of August 2025. The comparison will be based on the percentage change in the closing price for both cryptocurrencies between July 31, 2025 and August 31, 2025.

The formula to calculate the percentage price gains of each currency is: (Final Price - Initial Price) / Initial Price) × 100.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Ether's percentage close price change from July 31, 2025, to August 31, 2025, is higher than Bitcoin's percentage close price change over the same period.

Both positive and negative price movements are considered – if both cryptocurrencies decline, the one with the smaller percentage loss "outperforms" the other.

The price data must be sourced from CoinMarketCap's official USD closing price historical data for both ETH and BTC.

If CoinGecko is unavailable or fails to provide clear data, CoinMarketCap or Binance’s ETH/USDT and BTC/USDT spot markets may be used as secondary resolution sources.

Only spot market data will be considered; derivatives, futures, or leveraged trading prices will not affect market resolution.
