Winning solution of the Carbon Removal X Prize to involve recycling or composting?
Market Rules
The Carbon Removal X Prize competition is a contest created by Peter Diamandis and supported by Elon Musk to encourage the development of technologies to help prevent the worst effects of climate change. The competition challenges stakeholders to demonstrate sustainable and scalable ways to remove large amounts of carbon dioxide from the air or the oceans over the next years, and the winners will be announced on April 22, 2025.
The rules for applying to the Prize do not pose any limitations on the strategies or technologies used by candidates in their projects. Even so, some believe that there is a good chance that the winning project involves either recycling or composting to decrease the carbon footprint in the atmosphere, resulting in a negative net carbon footprint.
If the project proposed by the winning candidate of the Carbon Removal X Prize competition involves recycling or composting, this market will be resolved as "Yes".
