Jair Bolsonaro convicted of embezzlement by the end of 2025?
Market Rules
After leaving the presidency of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro was accused of appropriating gifts he had received while in office — especially jewelry — and attempting to sell them for personal gain. According to some legal experts, this practice could be considered peculation, or embezzlement, with a penalty ranging from 2 to 12 years of imprisonment in case of conviction.
If Jair Bolsonaro is judicially convicted of peculation or embezzlement by December 31, 2025, this market will resolve to "Yes," regardless of the specific penalty imposed in the case.
A conviction that is immediately appealed will still be considered valid for a 'Yes' resolution.
