Will the European Union (EU) block X (Twitter) in 2026?
Market Rules
This event predicts whether the European Union will block access to X (formerly Twitter) across one or more EU member states at any time between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 (inclusive). For this market, blocking means a legally enforced restriction preventing general public access to the platform. The Primary Designated Source (PDS) will be official EU or member-state government announcements or enforcement actions confirming such a block.
If the EU or its member states legally block access to X during this period, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". Temporary outages or voluntary service changes will not count. If official actions are ambiguous, the Secondary Confirmation Mechanism (SCM) will rely on consistent reporting from major international news organizations. Resolution will reflect substantive legal blocking, not technical disruptions. If a definitive determination cannot be made, Futuur may cancel this market with a public explanation.
