Market Rules

This event predicts whether MetaMask, a product of Consensys Software Inc., will launch an official governance token for the MetaMask ecosystem on or before the deadline mentioned in each of the listed markets.

The Primary Designated Source (PDS) is an official announcement from MetaMask or Consensys (such as a blog post, press release, website update, or verified social media post) stating the launch of a governance token for MetaMask, together with on-chain deployment of the token contract on Ethereum mainnet with transfers enabled and/or an initial distribution commenced.

If no such official governance token is announced and deployed by the referred deadlines, these markets will resolve to “No”. Tokens not intended for governance purposes, including the previously released MetaMask USD (mUSD) stablecoin, are out of scope. These markets will be resolved according to the substantive intent of launching a MetaMask governance token, not minor technicalities of naming or contract structure. If a fair determination cannot be made after consulting corroborating reports from reliable news outlets and on-chain evidence, Futuur may cancel the markets with a public explanation.
